When I take a portrait of someone, I ask them to give me 3-5 words that describe them.  I've discovered this is a hard thing.  Most of us may need more words that that!  But choosing 5 for myself today- I'm passionate about Faith, Family, Photography, Ice Hockey, and Authenticity, to name a few.



My favorite photos to make are of authentic moments- a portrait reflecting a person's true personality, freezing the exciting action of a hockey game, documenting the genuine moments of an event, or waiting to capture the dazzling rays of the sunrise or the sparkling stars stretched over a midnight sky.  All of these moments bring joy to my soul.
